About Me

My journey into mechanical design began when I was working in the construction industry. I was fascinated by blueprints for houses and often wondered, How do they go about designing things like this? That curiosity led me to enroll in a mechanical design program, where I am now developing my skills intending to become an engineer in the field.

I am particularly passionate about 3D CAD modeling, product development, and manufacturing. So far, I have gained hands-on experience with industry-standard tools such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks for 3D modeling, as well as machine tool operations and 3D printing. My background in construction has given me a strong foundation in design principles, which I now apply to mechanical engineering projects.

My ultimate goal is to become proficient in mechanical engineering and earn a bachelor's degree, with hopes of working in innovation. I am inspired by the incredible success of innovation as a whole and aspire to contribute to groundbreaking advancements in the field. Every project I work on brings me one step closer to that goal, strengthening my problem-solving abilities and expanding my understanding of engineering design.

Craftsmanship And Dedication

I like designing things and working with my hands, whether it is in the shop, creating something in 3D software, or drawing and sketching a part. I have spent a lot of time devoted to construction and woodworking before I pursued engineering, but I have hopes for opening the scope for that same love of creativity and manufacturing in the field of mechanical design.

My Proudest Achievements

I have made many products through projects in the program, some of which include: making the necessary drawings, models, and parts of a small vice, hand sketched drawings of parts in a miter saw, and a 3D-printed coin flipper
